1.0 Overview

The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are a set of U.S. government regulations administered by the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services listed under the United States Munitions List (USML) (22 CFR Part 121).

The Export Administration Regulations (EAR), administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), govern the export of “dual-use” items—commercial items that may also have potential military or strategic applications.

2.0 Crossroad Product Classification

Crossroad Distributor Source manufactures and distributes threaded insert systems and associated installation tooling for commercial, industrial, and OEM/MRO applications.

Following a review of applicable export control classifications, these products:

• Are not listed on the U.S. Munitions List (USML) under ITAR; and
• Are designated as EAR99 under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), meaning they are not subject to specific license requirements when exported to most destinations.

Accordingly, Crossroad products are classified as:

EAR99 – NLR (No License Required)

This classification covers general industrial, commercial, and maintenance uses of our products and confirms that they are not designed, developed, or modified for military applications requiring ITAR control.

3.0 Compliance Commitment

Crossroad Distributor Source is committed to full compliance with all applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations.

We expect our suppliers, distributors, and partners to adhere to these same standards when handling, transferring, or re-exporting Crossroad products.
