Crossroad Distributor Source is committed to responsible sourcing and to conducting business in a manner that supports ethical supply chains and human rights.
We acknowledge our responsibilities under Section 1502 of the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 and the European Union Conflict Minerals Regulation (EU 2017/821).
These regulations pertain to certain minerals known as “conflict minerals”—specifically tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold (collectively referred to as 3TG)—which may be mined from areas affected by armed conflict and human rights abuses, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries.
2.0 Policy and Due DiligenceTo prevent the use of materials that may contribute to human rights violations or conflict financing, Crossroad Distributor Source takes the following measures:
- We conduct reasonable due diligence on our supply chain to determine the source and chain of custody of 3TG minerals used in our products or any post-production processes (e.g., tin plating).
- We seek to ensure that all 3TG minerals in our supply chain are sourced either from:
- Conflict-free mines and smelters located outside conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRAs), or
- Certified conflict-free mines and smelters verified by an independent third-party audit program if located within or sourcing from CAHRAs.
- We require our suppliers and subcontractors to provide a current Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) or equivalent documentation and to maintain their own conflict minerals policy consistent with our standards.
- We integrate supplier responses into our compliance assessments and work only with partners who demonstrate a shared commitment to responsible sourcing.
Crossroad Distributor Source expects all suppliers to:
- Support the company’s commitment to sourcing conflict-free materials.
- Maintain supply chain transparency regarding the origin of 3TG minerals.
- Promptly notify Crossroad of any identified use of non–conflict-free materials.
Should Crossroad become aware that any supplied product, component, or process contains conflict minerals from non-certified sources, corrective action will be taken, which may include suspension or termination of supplier approval.
