1.0 Our Vision

Crossroad Distributor Source is committed to conducting business in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.

In alignment with globally recognized sustainability principles, including the United Nations Global Compact’s Ten Principles, we acknowledge our role in minimizing environmental impact across all operations.

We share the goals of reducing waste, conserving natural resources, and preventing pollution as outlined in leading environmental frameworks such as the EPA’s Sustainable Materials Management initiative and the U.S. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

Our goal is simple: to operate efficiently and responsibly today while preserving environmental resources for future generations.

2.0 Our Actions

Crossroad Distributor Source promotes environmental responsibility through the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle — the foundation of sustainable business practice and waste reduction.

2.1 Reduce

Preventing waste at the source is our highest priority. We actively pursue ways to conserve energy and materials in all operations:

• Implemented a paper minimization strategy to reduce office paper use, including electronic invoicing, digital catalogs, and online marketing.
• Use optimized packaging methods to minimize waste while ensuring product protection during shipment and storage.
• Employ energy-efficient lighting, insulation, and Energy Star–rated equipment throughout our facility to reduce overall energy consumption.
• Continually evaluate new technologies and process improvements to further lower our environmental footprint.

2.2 Reuse

We strive to maximize the life of materials and resources before disposal:

• Reuse pallets, containers, boxes, and packing materials wherever possible.
• Recycle or repurpose incoming packaging materials received from suppliers.
• Encourage departments to identify opportunities for reusing durable materials and supplies.

2.3 Recycle

We maintain a robust recycling program to divert waste from landfills and support circular resource use:

• Recycle production scrap, paper, cardboard, toner cartridges, and other office materials.
• Provide recycling stations for cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal to promote easy participation among staff.
• Encourage customers to recycle our plastic product bags, padded envelopes, and cardboard boxes, all of which are recyclable.
• Purchase supplies containing recycled content whenever feasible, including shipping cartons made from recycled fiber sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.

3.0 Responsible Disposal

For materials that cannot be reused or recycled, Crossroad Distributor Source partners with certified waste management providers to ensure safe, responsible disposal in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Whenever possible, waste is diverted toward waste-to-energy recovery rather than landfill.

4.0 Continuous Improvement

We regularly review and improve our environmental practices to align with evolving industry standards, customer expectations, and sustainability goals.

Environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility — we encourage our employees, suppliers, and customers to join us in minimizing waste and conserving resources.
