Giving Back This Holiday Season: Supporting Local Families in Need

At Crossroad Distributor Source, giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of who we are. This holiday season, we were proud to partner once again with Harcourt to help support local families in need through their holiday family adoption initiative.

Thanks to this year’s sponsorship, Harcourt was able to double its impact, adopting two local families for the holidays—one with six children and another with two. Last year, the program supported one family with four children, making this year’s expanded reach especially meaningful.

In total, 99 families and 255 children in the local community required assistance this holiday season. With the collective support of partners and vendors, including Crossroad, Harcourt helped ensure these families could enjoy a warmer, more secure holiday and begin the new year with essential resources.

Donated items included:

• New clothing and winter accessories such as hats, gloves, scarves, slippers, socks, and underwear

• Toys and games for children

• Essential household supplies like paper products and cleaning items

• Grocery store gift cards to help families provide warm holiday meals and ease financial strain during the winter months

All donated items were delivered to the local fire station, where they were distributed to families in time for the holidays.

We are grateful to Harcourt for leading this impactful initiative and for the opportunity to be involved again this year. Programs like this are a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when organizations come together with a shared commitment to helping others.
