Re: COVID-19 Update
March 25, 2020
As some of you may be aware, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb issued a ‘Stay at Home’ edict on March 23. After carefully considering the ‘Essential Business’ exclusions, the scope of our business, protocols in place and the safety of our employees Crossroad is to remain open for business.
Crossroad Distributor Source is considered an essential business according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. We fit into the criteria written in the essential critical infrastructure workforce guideline, primarily under, but not limited to, the critical manufacturing sector. We feel good about our decision going to a skeletal and separated crew to process and ship orders. Those employees working onsite are doing so voluntarily and of course have the option to ‘stay at home’ if they wish.
What has changed is that our supply chain has been disrupted. Our vendor in Italy has been forced to close until April 6 at the earliest, and this could be extended. But if freight continues to move, we plan to remain open to support our role in the supply chain to industry.
Our thoughts remain with all the individuals, communities and countries affected by the virus. Please stay safe everyone, take precautions and hopefully we can all get this under control in the very near future.
The situation remains very fluid and we will keep you updated with any new developments.
